since july 1st 2008 to march 18th 2009 7.3 million barrels have been produced.
this is 259 days
7.3 million / 259 = 28,185 barels on average
we all know the average flow rate is much closer to 20,000 barrels a day now so with 15 weeks to go.
15*7 = 105 days
9.6- 7.3 = 2.3 million / 105
= 21,900 barrels a day
we therefore need at least 21,900 barrels a day to reach the magic mark of 9.6 million barrels for the year.
