"Pumper and dumper";
What's the ploy? Those getting the freebies at a fraction of the market price can a sell a fraction of the holdings at the market price and buy the freebies at 2 - 8c. If so they would want a high market price so they can sell less to buy more.
Maybe it's just a few day traders cashing out after buying in cheap.
Maybe it's the Chinese messing with our heads.
The resource and cash are still there.
