I am 42y.o. and have to weigh up whether I want the responsibility of running a SMS fund till retirement and beyond.
Probably I will start one up as I want a good retirement and want my money working really hard.
Before I start one I have to think about a lot of things: whether I crystalise my current loss of $60K, whether I can later add my wife to the fund, what would happen if I divorced, how to get life assurance in the fund etc. I will do more research.
Big retail funds to charge too much. I am looking at the eSuper SMSF. But I want to be 100% certain that it is right for me.
