Afterpay, reminds me of the tulip craze in Amsterdam in the 17th century.
The average BNPL user is on a low income and has a higher propensity for default.
Watch as the defaults role in after the free gov money ends in March 21.
How many years of profits will it take before owners get their money back? 30, 40 maybe 50 years? The banks will catch up along with all the others in that space and saturate the market.
Watch out for PayPal and Shopify to get swinging along, then Ant financial when the CCP get their allocated discounted chunk. I'm afraid that Afterpay will be like the emperor without any clothes.
FMG on the other hand. We are actually printing money and will continue to be fundamental to the global post covid reconstruction program. Plus once we have our green energy machines operating we will become much bigger.
Presented with the choice of 5 FMG shares vs 1 APTshare I would walk away with my 5 fmg and change and laugh at those idiots buying apt.
