I love the fact that this is a forward looking statement.
It's not a "you have seen the fruits of our labour" or "we are on the way".
I think he's hinting at a deal. Big pharmas are in a very competive space. They not only want what's good for them, but to avoid the competition getting it.
If a better and much safer alternative is about to pop up against your $10b seller - what do you do? Hide your head and hope it goes away, or grab it first before somebody else does?
