That is what I initially thought regarding slowing company profits, slowing economy reflecting the equity market etc. Even with my awareness that equity markets are forward-looking, I still thought it would take some time but what we experienced is a V shape recovery! The stimulus/money printing has had a decade of testing since GFC so I have stopped preparing for the market crash mentality long ago. The march aggressive selloff is another point of test that the logical view is not necessarily the reality, unfortunately.

Following on from a risk back on (vaccine rolling out) and so-called risk-off gold unloved currently, the relationship is getting even more muddied than I thought. I am back to more 'gut feel' now because gold is complex and I have spent a long time trying to understand it without much success. Went back to the charts to explain things which now seems much more objective.

The long-term trend is still up but I still recall folks holding fallen angels also said that and some of the previous good miners are still in the pits!
