I agree that this feels like S&P rebalance selling from fund managers. Orbis may well have spoken to the larger players prior or just sat and waited for the inevitable. Either way it's a great move on their part. Hopefully we have now cleared out some of the larger holders as a result. They will of course be back in the future.
As an aside:
According to the announcement, almost half of the CER shares Orbis purchased were for the Catholics. Most people agree that around 2c CER is a steal, therefore this acquisition clearly violates one of the 10 commandments.
