there is a very good reason you don't understand how it'll work - IT WON'T!!

there are only two ways to deal with the 'toxic assets' (which are actually not assets at all.

1. they are just written off as a loss, too bad, so sad.

2. the people who owe the money - pay it!


any other method of dealing with it is farcical and really what will end up happening is the first option. they can dress it up however they way, the debts will just be written off as bad debts .. whether thats by way of a 'toxic bank' or whatever.

in essence, what is happening, is the US gov is buying those toxic assets and then printing money to cover them.
