Couple info pieces where Access Bio's Ag test is mentioned (as part of the current US testing hooha)...nothing major, however helps understand current US picture (which AT1 is supposed to be entering with pending Ab test approvals) + the RDT usage/access perceptions.
1 Dec'20 - Rapid Testing for Children Barrels Ahead, Despite a Lack of Data
https://www.nytimes.com/2020/12/01/health/coronavirus-testing-children.htmlArticle highlights that (almost all?) the current US RDTs not having been tested much on <18yrs age groups (and showing much lower detection rates as seem to be mainly designed + studied on adult groups). AccBio is also mentioned along the way as NYT journalist was unable to get any children test data from them to validate how much/how many studies were done.
Note: from a new story I posted a month ago, AccBio had a multi-US city study underway to improve their Ag test kit for kids (seeing this media piece, possible aim is also to verify testing accuracy in this age group?)

18 Nov'20 -press conference from the Harvard School of Public Health with Michael Mina, assistant professor of epidemiology.https://www.hsph.harvard.edu/news/features/coronavirus-covid-19-press-conference-with-michael-mina-11-18-20/55min press conf.- There is a lengthy transcript if you prefer the written word.
- gives a detailed opinion piece from this professor of almost all US FDA RDTs are being used, how they got approved, what limitations were put on it by US FDA for some reason (US RDTs need doc presc, not easy for any citizen to purchase/self-test)
VS
the single US approved 'Binax home self-test' (which I had posted about earlier, with the extra e-reader/batteries etc) which the US gov has purchased millions and is available for retail purchase
- AccBio is mentioned a couple times, as its one of the v few 80% accuracy range Ag RDTs (but needs doc presc/medical mgd test, so its not easy for anyone to access/use it multiple times).
- all this ongoing red tape despite the US actually need heaps n heaps more tests that available + possible today...
Note: regardless of challenges, from the other Ag test sales news + today's US health partner distro news, AccBio is still managing to get millions of Ag tests sold thru the private medical/gov managed networks
