hang about, the futures are not even intended to indicate the close. the opening is what they are all about and even then they get that wrong.
once the market opens the futures tag the live market. and then after the market closes again the futures again are suppose to be an indication of where the market might once again open.
to suggest the futures now at this moment are an attempt to indicate where the market might close this session is very presumptive and perhaps a tad naive of the purpose of the futures and market mechanisms.
the futures have a hard enough time getting it right as it is, let alone trying to do the impossible.
