so the BYE distribution should cause MEL to fall .6c
Agreed, and for that reason the exercise price of the options should fall from 5.0c to 4.8c. The options were issued for the company in its current financial state (asset backing, etc.). After the BYE distribution MEL is no longer the same company, so a new options exercise price should be set that reflects the new financials of MEL.
