Credit Suisse has just covered coverage for APT (PT $124) and in doing so has provided some very interesting insights from a BNPL survey that includes Z1P.
On BNPL in general here are some key point:
-95% of respondents indicated they viewed BNPL as offering 'good value for money'. This is slightly higher in AU than US but both still above 90%.
This is important for anyone who thinks the fees are too high to be sustainable for merchants.
-Merchants saw the benefits of BNPL as "increased basket sizes" (80% of respondents), "customer satisfaction due to choice of payment method" (78% of respondents), increased sales from new customers (51% of respondents), and data insights (28% of respondents).
Credit Suisse: "The responses indicate that merchants considered that the value of BNPL went well beyond a payment service. We believe that this finding is important with respect to potential investor concern following PayPal's entry into BNPL.
