i have no idea if MGT is a possible take over target in the future or not. If I was on the board of one of the oil majors here in Australia (wpl, sto etc) i would be concerned about the value of the company in 15-20 years time. They are at present producing a commodity that produces large amounts of CO2. One idea is for the oil majors to diversity and produce other commodities as BHP etc have done. At present the oil majors would have the cash flow to invest into other commodities. As we know IO has a great future. Any tier 1 asset in a safe country like Australia should be looked at.
