- Brainchip (BRN) has confirmed that last month it began shipping the evaluation boards for the Akida Neuromorphic System-on-Chip (NSoC)
- The evaluation board complements Brainchip's Akida Development Environment, which is ultimately aimed at reducing power consumption
- The Akida NSoC technology is an artificial intelligence processor which has undergone extensive testing and validation
- The tech can be applied to a number of smart applications, such as home automation, security cameras, sensors and medical instruments
- According to the AI tech company, Akida brings something new to AI that existing technologies don't
- Brainchip is up 2.82 per cent and shares are trading at 36.5 cents
