    you are mixing up 2 issues...
    1. tls is a Telecom company and you seem to talk about the end game which will take few decades to play out if they sell everything slowly while shareholders are looking at next 5 years growth n dividends. during that time tls may become something else too eg major energy player, tech player, 5g, etc

    2. overpaid executives... which major firm does not have that? for your sake we can all vote no next time their pays come for shareholders approval.

    your view seems to be tied with pay. i think you should keep them separate and then think about tls for next 5 years.
