The thing with RIO is that they aren't showing their hand so we don't actually have anything to benchmark up against.
In all other takeover's that I've seen all of the companies have had an initial takeover price offered and then the share price reacts accordingly and rises to above that takeover offer.
Then the takeover offers keep rising if the director's aren't happy with that.
With EXT the opposite is happening as the share price is rising to untold heights before an offer is laid on the table.
