    A quick calc:
    8300tonnes (or is it tons?) = 267 million ounces
    267million ounces @ USD1000/oz = USD267 billion

    I think they're a little short of gold if they want to revalue their reserves at current prices to cover present issuance of dollars & treasuries. (somebody check my numbers)
