On your other point, Beijing should try to get RIO liquidated and take over the carcass like they did with Alinta,
get rid of all the RIO equity holders like they did with Alinta and then take the thing.
Coincidentally that is what RIO is sort of trying to do with ERA.

And then Beijing could get RIO to sponsor the Beijing Alinta’s Australian cricket team that loses to India monotonously?
