Premier McGowan has just been voted the most detested Premier by all the state Premiers and the Prime Minister. Mr McGowan decided to use the unheard of (by our much loved politicians) teleconferencing to 'attend' a meeting. Yes, he was a bit nervous being introduced to 20th Century technology and unsure of how it worked but after some prodding he embraced the technology. Mr McGowan was reminded that his foolishness in rejecting a business class seat on a nice big shiny jet might make it harder for politicians to justify their cherished overseas junkets. Is another perquisite enjoyed by our politicians (overseas fact-finding-missions) about to be removed due to the rash behaviour. Our politicians were miffed when they were asked to produce receipts for out-of-pocket expenses, the insinuation being they were untrustworthy.
Western Australian Premier Mark McGowan will not attend this week’s in-person meeting of Australia’s leaders to avoid being in proximity to SA Premier Steven Marshall.
The nation’s state and territory leaders are set to fly into Canberra for this Friday’s National Cabinet meeting.
The meeting was set to be the first in-person meeting of the nation’s state and territory leaders since March.
However, Mr McGowan will take part via teleconference, in-line with his state’s health advice around South Australia.
