Do you think that all that expensive equipment is put into cars for fun? It is put in because of demand, either popular or by government demand.
I, like you, prefer to use my own judgement. However, I accept the fact that I sometimes f---- up. So an electronic overview would prevent that. A fully autonomous vehicle equipped with screens and cameras, would not need windows. Think how much cheaper lighter and stronger that such a craft would be.
