Most of the muppets over east haven't a clue how popular McGowan is in WA. Also most of the muppets over east haven't a clue that the way he handled COVID 19 meant he was able to keep the resources sector operating whilst everything closed down over east (because of indecision by the PM and other Premiers there initially) and that is what underpinned the economy Australia wide, and the recovery. The Federal budget would have been a bigger mess if it wasn't for WA keeping the resources sector alive - proof in the pudding, WA has a surplus.
The PM and his buffoons actually wanted WA to close the sector down back in March but now want to take credit for the economy rebounding. McGowan's hard border benefited the State and Australia (and to be frank the only Covid cases in WA are returning travellers who go straight to quarantine. No community transmission there for a number of months.
Most Australians wouldn't have a clue that WA accounts for over 1/2 Australia's exports in merchandise trade.

This thread also highlights how little posters know of WA:
1. Curtin is regarded as the best PM in Oz - might want to brush up what State he called home, and where his seat was - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Curtin.
2. Might want to also brush up where Bob Hawke did his schooling as well. He went to Perth Modern School in WA before going to the UWA - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bob_Hawke.
3. Importance of WA's resource sector to National economy.
