IMO yes the results are a surprise to MSB.
IMO meeting the primary endpoint WOULD have been enough for approval without a confirmatory trial.
The debate now is whether unexpectedly meeting the secondary (mortality) endpoint alone is sufficient for approval. IMO it's 200% sufficient.
There now, we can manage fine while @Davisite is on other duties.
