Australia used to be known as the lucky country. Seems quite unlucky to me?
I suspect the rotation away from Australia has only just begun. And as we can see with Coal, demand from China hasn’t dropped, they are simply just going to get it elsewhere “reported by state media on Monday, means Australian coal will be blocked indefinitely while China ramps up imports from Mongolia, Indonesia and Russia”.
We could perhaps take a bit of cheap Australian coal in NZ, we run some of our boilers on coal to turn milk into milk powder.
