Perhaps, the appetite was solid into the close.
Short-seller may also be throwing in the towel as well; it's getting precarious now with the 2nd Cameco suspension of Cigar Lake.
No idea what the short interest is now, but most will be getting into the red at these levels, so stop losses may kick in.
