We fried some up with very little olive oil in the pan for dinner this evening and had them with rice, drenched in garlic butter, lemon butter and a good dash of Nando's medium peri-peri sauce and a small salad - I felt like a king !!
My unbiased verdict is:
Fantastic price, very fresh - although they were frozen, they were all "separate" in the box which means that they had not been defrosted and then re-frozen which is when they tend to stick together.
They were very clean and the flesh was nice and firm. The flavour was just as good as any other prawn I have eaten and they definitely didn't have the "fishy / prawn/ mud taste" that some prawns have.
Best of all its Australian Owned and grown !!
The only negative was they were a bit on the small side but I am guessing that Tassal wanted to get them into the shops for the Christmas Season.
