i understand what you are saying but you would only ever pay me in the case the value of my house the debt i have against them is not your concern....

in the case of a listed company the enterprise valu is equity plus debt...ie mm were prepared to pay 3.5b for all the assets...ie 2.4 are equity fundedand 1.,1 debt funded..but still the assets are in total worth 3.5b

in your example both houses are only worth what they are worth and thats all one pays whether i have debt or not is my problem not the aquirer
