Leaving aside the Instos that are obviously shorting the stock, the reaction of the LT holding ones will be interesting. Was the trading halt spent socialising the catastrophe with them I wonder? I have not yet seen any commentary from them- although i guess it’s early days. Keep in mind that in the last 6 months major institutional shareholders of both Rio Tinto & AMP were the catalyst for heads rolling for unacceptable behaviour of senior execs - or more importantly the appearance of unacceptable behaviour. I wonder if stuffing up the forecasts, being asleep at the wheel during a pandemic, cynically selling shares, coupled with untimely mealy mouthed $$ revisionary comms is considered unacceptable or simply appears unacceptable?
