"AGL Energy has cut its earnings guidance for the 2021 full year to $500 million-$580 million from $560 million-$660 million following an accident at the ageing Liddell coal power station in the Hunter Valley, in a generally downbeat market update.The accident at Liddell has taken one of the four generators out of service for the crucial summer period when blackout and power shortages can be a threat in warm weather."
