O.k let's have views on this one;
Standard and Poors released their analysis of the whole NCP move today and confirmed that NCP could not be listed in two indicies (S&P 500 and ASX50, ASX 200, etc) at the same time and if a change of domicile was made then once that change had been made then changes to the indicies would occur.
NCP then followed this up saying they are comitted to changing domocile and will put it to the vote later this year.
Q. If NCP is no longer part of the indicies in Aus, but presume it remains listed here then will fund managers dump in order to keep balance with the indicies that most track?
Q. If the above occurs will the liquidity of NCP on the aust exchange decrase substantially and thus possibly remove NCP from having options and other derivatives?
The way I see it it is very similar to Alcoa shares, listed and liquid in the states, but hardly trade in AUS, no options, no warrants, nothing, but of course to get exposure to Alcoa you just buy Alumina, but what will we do for NCP?
