@GuardianAngel8 we should see a major sentiment shift following half yearly reports for 2021 across the market. Expect plenty of selling of companies within the ASX 200 index. Compounded by consecutive qtrs of negative GDP growth. The media loves negative news and they'll be amplifying 'Recession','Depression' & 'collapse' headlines 24/7. It will replace the Covid Headlines.
The demand for physical gold is strong at current prices which fundamentally underpins out investment. Unlike the 09-12 bull market which was all driven by paper gold. Bulllion banks have a large number of shorts still open, they will need to start closing them out soon, they can't really afford to be any more net short. Still strong demand from central banks aswell, especially from trade deficit nations, as they look to add to their reserves during the uncertain years ahead.

Money from funds will no doubt return to the sector, in anticipation of this, because they SURE AS HELL ain't in the equities market for dividends, purely momentum trading.

It's all aligning nicely for a strong 2021 for the sector.

Great analysis @Corgi. Thank you @123david321. It will be interesting to see with the weekly announcements scheduled and due for TSO when sentiment starts to truly change and a rerate starts to occur. I understand that Fund managers have moved away from the sector for the short term but as you mentioned before Corgi, there are plenty of GOLD stocks that rerated 10 times their current value during periods where the sector was unloved. Look forward to 2021. On other GOLD stocks, MDI looking a little more healthy as well. AUC has gone into a winter hibernation period. lol
