I am not about to argue whether it is TA afficianados or fundamentalists or traders or shorters who have any intelligence.
However, your graph of short behaviour shows a dramatic rise in shorts even as AZS announced resuts at Andover. Since that coincided with a dramatic rise in the SP should we wonder? Perhaps speculators exist who speculate that if a stock goes up dramatically, it can come down too?
I readily accept that AZS was pushed up too high and a pull-back is reasonable. I also accept that there is a very high level of uncertainty as to what level of resource may be present at Andover. As drilling proceeds, the answer will become more apparent.
Is AZS speculative? Absolutely, and more than most at present. It has been a dog for years in Mexico and Creasy has given it an opportunity in WA that no one could have predicted but that at the same time has given him a listed vehicle to develop a few promising tenements with public assistance. Is Creasy so gung-ho about al this that he wants to commit more funds? No.
Will AZS now be oversold - most probably but this has to be conditioned as to what future drilling results reveal.
Will I buy more - show me the drilling results.
Will I sell out - show me the drilling results.
