At very best by 2050 30% of our energy will be renewable.
By then our 1.2 Billion oil consumers will be 2.5 Billion oil consumers. From my vague memory I believe it equated to a 60% increase in our requirements for oil.
There is no substitute for oil. If the entire world energy grid were on Neuclear power all the proven Uranium would last 10yrs.
Our best bet other than someone tripping over a free electron solution is to find a better way to burn it.
Im all for Perez going down this road. Hes got my vote...........
