If the cost to SPP participants had been around current levels than the company would have received less return/dilution on the SPP, so in that context they would have been successful if indeed there were manipulators acting on behalf of the company. It was just a question that occurred to me, but manipulation of the SP of a large company like IAG would not be easy. It was just odd that the SP took a dive at the end of the 5 day VWAP period during which time existing shareholders would not have been buying to help boost the SP.
