I am hoping that their "net sale price of the customer’s products" can not include a subsidiary of Renesas Electronics America or their parent company. If a subsidiary can be defined as a customer under the contract then actual profits could be partitioned off, thus reducing royalties Renesas has to pay. The parent company incurs most of the costs and the subsidiary makes most of the profit. Movie distributors pull this trick all the time.
