Interesting to see his growing enthusiasm towards the burns results soon expected. He seemed to indicate this test would be with some worst case patients so if they get positive results it would be huge indication of the efficiacy of primary target in antibiotics.
He seemed to clearly indicate the burns patients being involved in the trials already have multiple treatment resistant injuries that currently just won't heal. Even just for these patients, imagine how big this would be if it works. And being conducted in a leading burns treatment hospital I would assume if it works they would be in a big rush to try and get it approved, even for emergency use initially.
After the clarification on the level of reduction achieved in covid it certainly makes current levels look like a bargain again. Almost binary in that either it somehow doesn't work, or more likely works exceptionally well and is worth 10x current level. If it is approved, one would think even more likely to be used rather than kept in reserve, as they would not need to cross match to infection and they would be less nervous about developing resistance to last line of defence. Just amazing potential.
