Yeah the dividend was reduced too late and it's still too high. Investing solely for dividends is a waste of time. You are better off investing in the best companies regardless of dividend and if you need cash sell ~4% of your holding each year.
Dividends are just stealing from capital growth.All of that is fair. I wouldn't though be wanting Telstra to be running the companies owned. They should be just an investor.
