It wasn't prior to borders being shut to Sydneysiders, and isn't now. Far fewer flights operating than a year ago, even if one strips out the adverse effect of NSW borders with other states being 'closed'.

I do not hold any airline shares and agree QAN and Virgin Oz have huge debt, but that by itself doesn't guarantee REX success on the Sydney - Melbourne or other major routes. And look at how QAN is commencing new (historically REX only) routes.
