Tim,
But as long as you do not cash out, ie retain the Rio shares, there is no CGT.
How do you handle Fully Franked dividends as an individual?
Hypothetical Situation:
Man X has no other income at all, zero income. He lives in Australia 100% of the time.
He receives fully franked dividends from RIO.
For three different scenarios:
1) Fully franked dividends of $100,000
2) Fully franked dividends of $150,000
3) Fully franked dividends of $200,000
What tax would he pay in each scenario?
