I agree, I don't think the question is really if it kills bacteria. my concern has been what effect does it have on other cells. The data seems to indicate it weakens the cell walls on enveloped bacteria and the internal pressure causes it to explode. What happens to other cells that may also have weakened outer cell walis as a result but remain intact due to no internal pressure to cause destruction. One would assume any serious side effects would have been apparent in animal trials, but I guess the bottom line is only a human can actually tell us if they feel anything unusual during treatment. Once we get our first good data with a human able to telll us they feel fine after, should be the start line for big things. Not long to wait now according to updates. Once it is proven effective surelythe sky is the limit simply due to the growing concerns with AMR that seem to be getting worse with over use during covid pandemic.
