I agree that car parking charges are a good supplement to rental income. If shoppers can spend hundreds of dollars at the shop, then why not 5-20 on parking charges. It’s cheaper than catching a cab or Uber.
if parking was bad for the business, then the same thing should happen to Sydney Airport. We all know that with the restrictions, Sydney Airport is operating less than half its capacity yet they have not lowered or removed the parking charges. Unfortunately one of the SCG shareholder thinks removing parking charges will be good for SCG’s business. He must be seeing things rest of us can’t see.
