    Wrong...fiat is backed by the power of the originating country, that's why the USD is the world's most desirable currency.

    What's gold backed by....a metal that people say is currently worth about US$1,900. It has no utility, unlike copper and other metals which are presently moon bound, which also suggest that predictions of a severe recession are incorrect.

    Gold isn't a currency.
