One thing I have noticed over time is just because the share you are in hasn't worked out the way you initially thought? sometimes it pays to stick with them, sometimes for reasons are not clear at the time, but mainly because of the money still in them is one reason.
I'll give you some examples -:

PNV was once called Metabolic who had a drug called AOD9604 (the fat pill) it failed in phase 3 due to them changing the delivery method, but the drug actually works and is still being used, some might remember the trouble Essendon FC got themselves into?
But what was left behind was a decent amount of money, along came Polynovo with a great idea but they needed money, it has been a Phoenix for me,

KZA, was once called Novogen, it too has risen from the ashes and looks like being a much bigger winner than it is already, I nearly sold them some time back, but decided I did like what they were working with -: it is another Phoenix in the early stages I reckon?

SLX. I came into Silex after USEC decided not to continue with the laser enrichment which they had developed, to around 80% working then GEH then bought in and the SP rocketed, I only held a small parcel and didn't sell, but the tech wasn't fully developed, but was getting even closer, then GEH pulled the rug out, everyone thought the technology had failed, far from it, I kept doing my research on this and bought a lot more because it wasn't the tech that failed it was because GEH had changed direction and no longer needed the Silex process to make it possible to re use UNF in it's PRISM reactor, I think this will be the biggest Phoenix in the end?

Just one other thing that I had read, by a bloke named Peter Lynch who wrote a book called "One up on Wall st" he said that quite often he missed his biggest gains by selling out too early, he had made good money but could have made several fortunes if he had held longer, I reckon there is a message in there, he also said "know what you are invested in" a lot of people don't it would seem.
My thoughts on this-: never throw the baby out with the bathwater and also stay in the market as long as you can if nothing has changed and look for good management.
