If they release at 5pm on Friday it'll be terrible news. Generally releasing announcements at the end of trading, especially on Fridays, is done so that people sit on that news and can't react while they calm down and don't do anything rash (re: dumping).
If they release at market open on Monday or Tuesday, it'll be because they're banking on a bunch of people seeing a big number and going DAMN, and buying up to drive the price.
Us humans are fickle and impulsive beings.
