This goes to the heart of why many of my friends who are doctors say the AI will never take on. They wear the stethoscope as a badge of identity and with it they can diagnose respiratory ailments, so they claim. Of course most can do just that, and having an app do this as well or better is an insult to their intelligence. They consider it demeans their status as doctors. They also don't believe that telehealth will take over much of their face to face work as, once again, it demeans their status. Obviously I don't agree with them, and telehealth and AI IS the future, but they will not acknowledge it. BTW these are all doctors over 55yo.
