I imagine that there is a lot of stockpiling going on with Lithium, just the same as copper. Even though the price is rising, it's still cheap so companies and govts involved in the production chain are no doubt buying up what they can.
EV sales are now increasing exponentially.
Even if 4% by Chinese New Year isn't correct @Kiwisfly9 we could be looking at far, far more over the next six or twelve months.
