Many who supported and abetted Trump with every lie, every indecency, every act of megalomania, malfeasance, paranoia, insurrection and craziness just realised that he has no regard for them and they have been used.
They are deserting him in droves.
The cynic in me thinks they are simply rats getting off a sinking (sunk) ship. The pragmatist part of me says better late than never.
