As per the status in Tyro's site, terminals will be repaired in their facilities (and no indication of sending away).
Process: We have engaged a third-party partner to collect all locked terminals around the country and bring them back to our facilities as quickly as possible. This collection process started on Friday and we have a team working non-stop to fix your terminal and then organise its return to you.
Where did you get this information that they have to be sent away?
Note: In addition if they receive new terminals (Tyro mentioned that they are expecting new terminals to be delivered) then those also will be used immediately.
