...and SSM should have the experience to know the line between profitable and unprofitable business that's best left alone. If we keep losing tenders it says to me that the competition is probably under pricing work to win market share, but the trick for them will be to scale their workforce without paying more to attract talent and then jack up those rates down the track without business flowing straight back to SSM.
Interesting to see how management play this a) join race to the bottom b) buy out the competition c)keep diversifying away from NBN work and let these guys scrap it out for low margin business
