Hi rrossingg,
"So my question is this, is it possible for a merger? Not a take over"
Any form of deal is possible.
We don't know the true scale of the resource yet. We shouldn't get too carried away and assume that it will be at the upper end of our expectations. However, if it is then I could see some form of "grand consortium" to operate the project as a possible outcome.
If, for example RIO want to realise some cash but not sell out altogether from Rossing Uranium, they could bring in other partners and sell part of their stake. Equally Extract could swap their resource for shares in the renewed Rossing Uranium. I suspect, though, for that to be acceptable to the Extract Board and major s/hs, Rossing Uranium would have to become a publicly quoted company. That's because I shouldn't think that Dattels & co would want to be locked in indefinitely to a mining company with "hard to value" unquoted assets. IMV they will want an exit route.
DavidBriggs, what "lies" would those be then, that you are referring to?
Regards,
Mark
