@SimonGr....it’s the old greed thing. I have 21k WMI (having got another 11k in the SPP) in my SMSF (so profits are free of CGT), and if I sell (say) 10k and free up $19k dollars, what do I do with it ? I just see the market very toppy at the moment and there’s nothing screaming it’s head off saying “buy me, buy me”. The SMSF is getting a heap of cash back from the winding up of ALF, and as a consequence the SMSF will be holding more cash than I usually like. Any tips ?
